Strong and durable yet flexible, polyester rope is resistance to oils, gasoline, grease and most chemicals. it's also resists UV rays so it will not yellow or weaken with sun exposure like other fiber ropes can. Polyester also has a low water absorbency so it won't mildew or rot, and only a minimal amount of strength is lost when it's wet. It does not have the elasticity of nylon, but it's superior to nylon for abrasion resistance, making it a good choice for high friction uses. The twisted construction also makes it easy to splice.
