Solid braid polyester rope is extremely durable and resists abrasions and many chemicals. Because polyester has very little elongation, it's useful for jobs that require little stretch. It is unaffected by water so it retains its strength when wet and is resistant to mildew, rot, and marine growth. Polyester also stands up well to UV rays and resists yellowing and weakening even in repeated sun exposure. Lock-stitch construction creates a smooth, even surface that knots well; can be hard to splice. Solid braid polyester rope is a great multi-purpose rope that's good for a variety of uses, from towing to rigging.
