Type 316 stainless steel contains the element molybdenum which gives the stainless steel higher corrosion resistance and a particularly higher corrosion resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in high chloride environments. The screw pin d shackles are precision cast with a standard pin. This means the pin is able to be removed from the body of the shackle.
