Our Fixed Snap Shackle is made of durable type 316 stainless steel for added corrosion resistance in high chloride areas. Sometimes called marine grade steel, type 316 contains molybdenum which is the element that is responsible for the added corrosion resistant properties.
Our snap shackle also features a spring loaded captive pin for easy connect/disconnect. The captive pin keeps the pin with the shackle as it cannot be removed from the body making it a valuable commodity for sailing, rigging, and marine applications.
