Polypropylene fiber is resistant to moisture and floats, so it's widely used for water sports and applications such as anchor lines. Diamond braid design with a hollow core is easy to splice; will not backlay, kink, or hockle. Its resistance to water offers protection from mildew, rot, petroleum products, marine organisms, acids and alkalis. Polypropylene also has good dielectric properties, which means it won't conduct an electric current if it touches a live electrical wire, so it's a great choice for working around utility wire, trimming trees, etc. Sold by linear foot.
