Chain shackles (also called D shackles), are intended for use in straight line pulls or lifts only, as side and racking load can twist or bend the straight legs of a chain shackle.
The bolt type closure is ideal for permanent or long-term applications, or if there’s a risk of a load sliding on the shackle pin, causing it to rotate.
