Machines eye bolts are useful for lightweight rigging applications. 1/2" machine eye bolts are midsized bolts and have a working load limit of 2,100 lbs. Loading at an angle will significantly reduce a bolt's rated capacity; a 45 degree angle reduces it to just 1/4 of the stated rating. Never load at an angle greater than 45 degrees from the bolt center line.
